This is a place for big women to come together and discuss fashion in real sizes. May we be heard in a world that is not only growing in numbers but in clothing size as well. We aren't going to take being ripped off anymore. Lets be fashion forward ladies of the world not big women in bags and rags.

In the Beginning

So yesterday I was out and about doing some shopping as I start my new job on Monday and I needed new clothes that were a bit more business-like. Of course its the usual as a big woman I was depressed and pissed off by the end of my shopping trip. Why, you might ask. Every time I go shopping its always the same, there is nothing for my size and what is out there is either outrageously hideous or makes me look as if i have a saggy ass or I'm wearing a potato sack. The fashionable clothes here in Australia are of course disgustingly expensive. I don't see why my size 6 friend can go to the shops and buy a beautiful tailored jacket that flairs at the waist and looks fantastic giving her curves in the right places and bringing in her waist to make it look even smaller for $30.00 AUD and when I go shopping if I want something like that I'm looking at $120.00 AUD.

Big women's retailers are out there and let me tell you they are ripping us off ladies. City Chic has fantastic clothing for women who are bigger than the average and with ACA reporting that the waist lines of Australians are growing how is it that we women are still being ripped off. You cannot tell me that the product cost raises $90.00 for using a bit more fabric in our clothing. K-mart yeah they aren't the greatest for clothes but when you are on a budget they aren't bad its not hard to make something cheap look better with accessories and such but come on have you seen what they are putting out there, I might as well be either 65 years old or so self conscious that all I will just take whatever I can get in my size, get real.

Target not so bad I must say but the tailored pants make me look like I have the ass of an 80 year old, they sag so bad, Fat chicks don't always have fat asses world. Best and Less I must say have some decent clothes but they fall apart. Quality guarantee yeah right! The buttons fall off all the time, I have to keep sewing them back on. In their defense though the sizing is good and I know what size I am supposed to be when I walk in the door. Target however not so much I bought a size 16 cardigan, size 22 pants and size 18 top. WTF? When trying on the pants I had to keep going back and forth because my size was different between each of them I tried on. Jackets, I gotta laugh at this one, they don't even fit and I wasn't the only person there at that time trying them on, There was another woman there as well having a go at finding something decent and they didn't fit her either. I can't fit them across my shoulders and she couldn't fit them across her chest, and they were plus size!

Hi, world just a note some of us have big boobs, I could wear a size 16 to 18 if I wasn't a G cup thanks and I didn't choose my boobs they grew that way so why don't you actually make tops and jackets that can hold my big ass chest. I would say most of us big women have big boobs k thanks. I hate getting a shirt on and then realizing I can't breathe because my chest is squished and constrained by the shirt. City Chic I love your clothes but ffs I can't afford to shop in your stores. I live in the real world with real bills OK, I have car payments and rent and energy bills and all the other bills real people have I can't afford $120 bucks for a sexy military dress that I could so rock at work. Please I don't want to hear the excuses you can lower the prices, you don't have to make us big women dig deep for beautiful clothes.

Hello are you listening fashion retailers get your shit in gear we women aren't happy with your shit anymore! Give us good clothes at affordable prices and stop ripping us off!
